Please take sometime to familiarize yourself with these documents. This will help give you a leg up in the groundschool portion if you’ve already taken a peak at them.
PPG Hand Signals
Communication and redundancy is key when training in powered paragliding. While your trainer should be in your ear in constant communication with you on you first few flights. We have to assume communication failure will happen and you can still safely make it to the ground.
Review the below document that has the common hand signals used by your instructor.
Airspace
Its important to understand the FAA regulations around airspace. Taking on flight as a pilot you need to know where you can and can not fly. We will teach you the very basics of how to identify airports, airspace classifications, obstruction hazards, and places you can/cant fly. This is a large topic and its recommended that you do some additional research.
Airport Traffic Pattern
Its important to understand the flow of general aviation traffic as it pertains to an airport. Pilots are trained to enter a non-controlled airport under a specific pattern to ensure proper flow and aircraft separation.
